Invitation for the Employers Discussion Panel

On March 22nd and 27th, 2015, there will be two discussion panels with Employers prepared. Panels will be held to discuss and consult programmes for courses (initial and final consultations).

As states the science report prepared by Institute of Computer Science employers are interested in cooperation with University in education of Computer Science students and they are interested in active participation in education. To achieve the goal of the project, which will resemble current trends on the market, there is a need to discuss details of cooperation.

Creation of the project Team

On February 5th, 2015 the Rector of the Lublin University of Technology signed document R-9/2015 regarding creation of the Team involved in the project „Tworzenie aplikacji mobilnych do monitoringu środowiska – nowa specjalność magisterska w języku angielskim”

The document states the Team has members listed below:

Informational meeting at Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science

There is a huge part of employees of Faculty involved in the MADEM project, and to perform a showcase of a project an informational meeting was organized. The meeting was lead by prof. Danuta Stryczewska, dr. Marek Miłosz, dr. Małgorzata Plechawska-Wójcik and dr. Mariusz Dzieńkowski.

During the meeting aspects of general objectives and benefits from the project realization, as well as operations and its realization methods and schedule were discussed. There were also a presentation of roles of different groups of employees, management and quality assurance issues.

Mrs. Katarzyna Aleksandrowicz, the Director of Stipendiary Programmes from Foundation for Education System Development, the FSS programme operator, was involved in the meeting.

Start of the MADEM project

On January 1st, 2015, we started implementation of the Mobile Application Development in Environmental Monitoring project. The project is performed at Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, under the program “Fundusz Stypendialny i Szkoleniowy”, co-financed from Norway grants and eea grants from Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway and national funds.

The objective of the project is to prepare new specialization on Computer Science programme, which will prepare students for developing IT systems, especially mobile applications for environmental monitoring.
